How we help our neighbors

Prayer Shawl Ministry

If you crochet or knit or would like to learn how, we encourage you to join us at a monthly prayer shawl meeting. Our group meets every second Wednesday of the month (September-June) from 10:30-11:30am in Bishop Hall at St. Bernard. The shawls we create provide comfort for parishioners and community members.

2024 Meeting dates: Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11

2025 Meeting dates: Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, & June 11

Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH)

EPH is a partnership between sixteen churches and the Salvation Army helping families with transitional housing, education and support services. St. Bernard Parish maintains a home on the east side of Green Bay. We are looking for individuals to assist with cleaning the interior when a family moves out and with seasonal landscape maintenance.

The Elizabeth Ministry

Through this ministry we support families as they navigate life’s challenges and joys. We provide gift bags for our newly baptized children, and support each other through prayer with our Rosebud Program.

Love Life

Dedicated to helping mothers who belong to WIC by providing necessities for them.

N.E.W. Community Shelter Meal

Volunteers provide 8 meals a year. Sign up to donate food or serve the meal in the church narthex.

Respect Life Ministry

Respect Life Ministry defends and respects life from conception to natural death. Our ministry members strive to help people from our parish understand the teachings of our Catholic faith in relation to the sanctity of life and share opportunities to put our faith into action.

St. Vincent de Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served.

Homebound and care facility ministry

We strive to keep these parishioners connected to our parish family. We do this through birthday & holiday cards, bringing the Eucharist, communion services and rosary prayer sessions.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Our parish and school work together to assemble 30 baskets of food that are distributed to families in our community the week of Thanksgiving.

Christmas Giving Tree

We support local schools and our elderly parishioners with much needed items.
